DANCE SKETCHES!!!

One of the hardest things to draw is the figure in motion. As an animation artist I know that memory and the knowledge of the human form is key when capturing the event.I often think of Bruce Lee when it comes to dance and martial arts. His interview about honestly expressing oneself has definitely struck a chord with me when a attempt to record action.I often wonder if my performance in recording the subject in motion is as honest as the subjects performing.I'll definitely be thinking about this one for years to come.

The sketches I've done here were manifested at a Dance studio.Jody Oberfelder the choreographer as well as the dancer for this amazing arrangement invited me to sketch her and her team in rehearsal. They were preparing for the "Heads or Tales" production at the Abrons Arts Center March 11-13 2010(AD) of course.

This is Jody's website for those who will be in NYC area at that stretch of time.

Lost sketches!!

Here are some sketches I did a while back but never got the chance(lazy me)to post them.Enjoy
